LOCAL 2067
2024 Candidate Endorsements
Updated On: Mar 10, 2024

Policies made at the local, state, and national level directly impact our working conditions, wages, benefits, and our rights as employees. Therefore, it’s essential that we elect pro-worker candidates, and hold them accountable once they’re in office.

Endorsements

The interview panel interviewed 10 candidates in 5 races. The following endorsements were recommended to and approved by the executive board at the March 7, 2024, executive board meeting:

  • Mayor - Chris Hoy
  • Ward 5 - Dr. Irvin Brown
  • Ward 7 - Vanessa Nordyke

Endorsement process and information

For Local 2067, we focus on the local elections that most impact us: City Council and City Mayor.

The 2024 Election season has started. We scheduled a Candidate Forum at Union Hall for March 2, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our political action committee interviewed candidates and made recommendations for endorsements to the Executive Board at their March 7 meeting.

We have asked each candidate to complete a questionnaire explaining their positions on issues important to our members.
